MANGO JUICE CROP UPDATES - Q1 2025

Alphonso Mango

Production of Alphonso mangoes in India for 2024 is expected to be 20-30% lower than last year, but there is still a good inventory of both 100% and blended puree. While demand remains stable, the beverage industry is reportedly moving away from Alphonso due to higher pulp prices and year-to-year price fluctuations. Current offers for Indian Alphonso are USD 1,300-1,450/MT (single strength, FOB India), unchanged from last month.

Totapuri Mango

Demand for Totapuri puree and concentrate has increased recently, aided by improved conditions in the Middle East, a key market. The industry anticipates continued strong demand as the Summer season approaches. Offers for Totapuri puree are USD 720-750/MT (single strength, FOB India), down from USD 750-925/MT last month. Offers for Totapuri concentrate are now USD 1,300/MT (28 brix, FOB India). Freight rates have stabilized at USD 100/MT, with further decreases possible.

Colombia and Mexico

The 2024 Winter crop in Colombia has concluded, contributing 12,000-14,000 MT to the overall industry supply of 150,000-155,000 MT. The upcoming Summer crop (starting March-April) is expected to have favorable growing conditions. Offers for concentrate in Colombia are USD 1,295/MT (28 brix, FOB) and NFC mango juice is priced at USD 1,050/MT (single strength, FOB). Forward pricing for the 2025 summer crop is expected soon, with increased inquiries from the US due to potential tariffs on Mexican products. Mexico’s crop, starting in March-April, is expected to be strong, with no carryover inventory and strong demand, though concerns about US tariffs persist.
