As 2025 comes to an end, we take a moment to look back on a year marked by creativity, collaboration, and curiosity.
It has been a defining year for the FSL Flavours Division, one where we not only expanded our Flavours Lab in Jebel Ali, but also deepened our long-term partnerships with Aromatech and GoBia to push the boundaries of flavour science across the Middle East and Africa.
Looking ahead, the industry is entering a new phase: one that values mindful indulgence, natural authenticity and science-backed simplicity. As consumers become more conscious of what they eat and why, flavours will play a vital role in balancing pleasure and purpose. According to Innova Market Insights’ Global Consumer Trends 2026, this balance will shape the future of the flavour industry. Consumers are seeking “Vitality & Longevity” with products that support energy and health through everyday enjoyment and “Relaxed Sociability,” where food and drink foster connection in casual, comforting ways. These trends echo what we’re already witnessing in the region: a pivot toward flavours that feel natural, restorative, and emotionally grounding.
At FSL, we remain committed to helping our partners translate these shifts into tangible, scalable flavour solutions, designed not just to perform in the lab, but to connect in the market. Because when flavour is engineered with intention, it doesn’t just enhance products, it builds trust, evokes memory and creates meaning. Here’s to another year of collaboration, innovation and shared pursuit of extraordinary taste experiences in 2026.
Warm regards,
