DEFOAMER FOR BEVERAGE APPLICATION

Foaming can cause various issues in the food and beverage industry.

While mechanical and physical approaches can only eliminate existing foam, the use of a Defoamer can prevent foam from arising at the first place and remove the existing foam. Defoamer is an additive (or technical aid) that can be used in food and beverage production and can reduce the formation of foam in various food and beverage products, which can be a common problem during production.

Foaming can occur at different stages of production like mixing and filling. While foaming can create a visual imperfection in the finished products, it can also significantly reduce production efficiencies, line efficiencies and can be a nuisance causing spills, overflow, and wastage. Defoamers can hence be helpful in improving product quality, improving production efficiency, and reducing downtime caused.

PHYSICO-CHEMICALS PROPERTIES:

Appearance: Yellow Liquid

Density: 0.975 g / cm3 at 20C

Viscosity: 300 mPas at 20 C

 

Use: Defoamer antifoam can be used pure or diluted. In general, it is advisable to use it at 5 to 25 ppm.

Storage & Shelf Life: It is preferable to store antifoam at a moderate temperature in order not to modify its viscosity.

Shelf Life Storage: 1 year
