OCEANIA
• Oceania butter prices moved lower at both ends of the range.
• Butter was offered for all available contracts, prices dropped in each contract period.
• The volumes purchased by Southeast Asia were the heaviest.
• Demand is light, not many other factors affect market prices during this low point of the butter production season.
• Shipments of previous sales are moving on a limited basis.
• Most of current production addresses domestic needs as output matches milk production flow.
• Outlook is bearish.
EUROPE
• European butter prices moved lower.
• Seasonal demand is weaker for both retail packaged butter and block butter.
• The European summer holiday season has cut into buyer interest, especially since much of the near- term butter needs have been met.
• Butter inventories are sufficient to meet current buyer needs and build some supplies for Q4.
• Butter production is steady to lower. Industrial cream prices have increased.
• Outlook is bearish.
